Lift & Reduce Jowls FAQ

What’s in Facial Fillers?

Facial fillers consist of a non-animal based gel called hyaluronic acid. You can find this substance naturally in our bodies. Its water-attracting properties can help replenish and re-contour your facial features.

Will I look “puffy”?

Our aim is to lift your cheeks enough so that you don’t look unnatural or puffy. Our advanced injection methods allow us to re-shape the cheek bones and lift the skin to diminish the look of jowls around the mouth. Your eyes and face will be highlighted and naturally balanced.

Will there be side effects? Will I swell or bruise with Facial fillers?

Swelling and bruising vary with each person. After treatment, you may have some swelling, bruising, and an overall tight feeling. This is not uncommon. To help reduce the chances of bruising, we advise homeopathic arnica before and after treatment. We advise against using blood thinning agents to reduce bruising– such as aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and fish oils. You can apply mineral makeup to cover areas.

How soon will I see the results?

You will see the benefits immediately after your first visit and continue to enhance in the next 2-6 weeks as water collects in the treated areas. Your skin will become more hydrated, giving you the smooth and radiant look you desire! For exponential results*, follow up with consecutive treatments.

*Results may vary with each individual

Who should not use Facial Fillers?

We do not recommend Facial Fillers for those with these conditions:

  • Pregnant or breast-feeding,
  • Any autoimmune diseases or disorders, and
  • Sensitivity to hyaluronic acid or local anesthetic.

During your consultation, it is important that you tell us if you regularly take aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anticoagulants.

Are Facial Filler treatments painful?

We take extra caution to minimize discomfort during the treatment. Every treatment starts with applying a topical cream on your skin that numbs the treatment area. It’s made with local anesthetic that reduces sensitivity and ices the area. Combined with the gentle touch of our experienced technicians, the treatment will be positive and comforting!
