How do Lip Injections work?

When you get your lip injections with us, we will first apply a topical cream that numbs any discomfort you may experience. We then inject hyaluronic acid dermal filler to your lips. Hyaluronic acid is a substance is naturally found in our bodies that attracts water molecules. To evenly distribute the filler, we will gently massage your lips. After this, your lips will be luscious and full instantly with no downtime!

Is the procedure safe?

The dermal filler we use are made with hyaluronic acid that is naturally found in our bodies. This means it will not only look natural but is also safe for you. Over time, the hyaluronic acid is broken down naturally.

How long do the Lip Fillers last?

On average, the hyaluronic acid fillers last about six months, but outcomes vary with each person. It comes to how quickly your body metabolizes the hyaluronic acid.

Will there be side effects? Will I swell or bruise?

Swelling and bruising vary with each person. After treatment, you may have some swelling, bruising, and an overall tight feeling. This is not uncommon. To help reduce the chances of bruising, we advise homeopathic arnica before and after treatment. We advise against using blood thinning agents to reduce bruising– such as aspirin, anti-inflammatories, and fish oils. You can apply mineral makeup to cover areas.

Does it hurt when getting Lip Injection treatments?

We take extra caution to minimize discomfort during the treatment. Every treatment starts with applying a topical cream on your skin that numbs the treatment area. It’s made with local anesthetic that reduces sensitivity and ices the area. Combined with the gentle touch of our experienced technicians, the treatment will be positive and comforting!

How soon will I see the results?

You will see the benefits immediately after your first visit. Your lips may be a bit swollen the day after, but will settle quickly until your next treatment.

Am I a good candidate for Lip Fillers?

If your lips are naturally thin or your lips are thinning with age, lip fillers (lip injections) can correct this. Injecting lip fillers allows you to gain / regain beautiful, luscious, full lips. Lip injections are also great for those who have uneven lips. If you feel self-conscious about your lips, treatment can boost your self confidence. Ask us about getting lip injections today.

Who should not use Facial Fillers?

We do not recommend Facial Fillers for those with these conditions:

  • Pregnant or breast-feeding,
  • Any autoimmune diseases or disorders, and
  • Sensitivity to hyaluronic acid or local anesthetic.

During your consultation, it is important that you tell us if you regularly take aspirin, anti-inflammatories or anticoagulants.
